Beatbox Workshops In Schools Are Back

After a long break from face to face workshops due to Covid.. beatbox workshops in schools are back. School teachers and pupils are buzzing, you can feel it in the air. The lack of interaction for such a long time built a need for creative activities, fun and togetherness.

We are delighted to be delivering our creative sessions in schools again, putting smiles on those faces while teaching the awesome art of human beatboxing. We love to see participants who feel like they can't beatbox at the beginning of a workshop, rise to the challenge and grace the microphone with the new skills they've learned.

Danny Ladwa, founder of School of Beatbox, has been working with groups of young people and children for over 15 years and brings a wealth of experience to his sessions. He uses state-of-the-art vocal looping equipment to record the groups voices one by one until a whole soundtrack is created, all with the voice.

All Girls Beatbox Workshop

At the end of September 2021, Danny led 2 workshops with 2 groups of girls at Oxford High School. Danny walked into a room filled with charisma and energy and he knew the creativity would flow early.

He wasn't wrong. The groups both dived into the world of mouth music. Once the bass drum, hi hats and snares were out of the way they got stuck into layering sounds using the loop station. The school had arranged these workshops as part of a challenge day and they certainly rose to the challenge.

The theme was 'Go Beyond', something that we could instantly work with. Especially as beatboxing is an art form that doesn't seem to stop developing. We can definitely say that the voice has capabilities to 'Go Beyond'.

Check out this short video taken from the 2 workshops. Enjoy!
