Hey, so I wanted to use this flawless performance by Rahzel – ‘Godfather Of Noise’ from the legendary Roots Crew in this blog and recognise the history of beatboxing and where it came from. The many beatbox styles are directly influenced by the music we listen to, the technology that we have, the world that surrounds us and many more factors that play an important role in inspiring us to create our sound. Beatboxing as an art form has been on a journey over the past decade and new techniques are developing as you read this. The distinction between the old school and new school beatboxers is becoming more and more clear and it’s fascinating to see the style of the original beatboxers and how the art-form is developing today.
Rahzel – ‘Godfather Of Noise’ said during one of his many performances, as a beatboxer “You’ve gotta feel the soul of the music, It’s not just about the beat and the bass”. He’s definitely feeling the soul of the music in this performance as he’s able to casually sit whilst on stage beatboxing to thousands. That’s keeping it real.
