Learning to Beatbox in a Workshop Space: Fun and Beneficial for Children
Did you know that learning to beatbox can be fun and beneficial for children? Beatboxing is a great way for kids to explore their voices and express themselves. It can also help them overcome their fears and build confidence. School of Beatbox offers workshops for kids of all ages, in schools and events all around the UK. Our experienced instructors will help your children learn the basics of beatboxing, and have a lot of fun doing it!
School of Beatbox founder and CEO Danny Ladwa has been beatboxing for almost 30 years and teaching in schools for over 15 years. He's also a UK championship beatboxer, so your children will be in good hands! Danny started beatboxing at the age of 11 and tells the groups he works with about how he is still learning new sounds today. Beatboxing is an ever-evolving art form.
What to expect in a beatbox workshop:
At a typical beatbox workshop, you'll learn about the history of beatboxing and how it has evolved over the years. You'll also get some vocal warm-ups to help you get started. Then, you'll learn the basic sounds and rhythms of beatboxing. Once you've got the hang of those, you'll move on to more complex rhythms and sound effects. And finally, you'll have the chance to record your own voice into a loop station to create unique soundtracks.
