Wow, Wow, Wow! After many hours of getting the online platform ready, many months of putting together the perfect lessons and many years on the road gathering experience as a beatbox performer and teacher.. it’s finally here. Yes, this marks the launch of School Of Beatbox and we are very excited indeed. I’d like to say that it definitely feels like a long road putting this all together, but we are so happy to share this new platform with, well, anyone in the world that wants to learn beatboxing!
My mind is literally boiling over with awesome things to share with you, like telling you about our social mission, which is … going to be revealed soon 😉
Who would have thought that there is a beatboxer inside all of us. Well I would, of course. We’ve all had a go at our own version of beatboxing at some time but most have never thought that this is actually an art that, if studied, can develop beyond your wildest imagination. Like any instrument: hone the skill, practice, explore and watch that skill take a course of it’s own. If beatboxing has taught me anything it’s that ‘there is always more to learn’.
If you’re starting out as a beatboxer and are currently watching free tutorials online, you’re probably wondering what is different about School Of Beatbox (as it does have a ‘small’ price-tag) – the answer is, firstly, the immense experience of not only a professional beatboxer but a beatbox teacher. Yes, over 10 years has been spent teaching people this incredible art and raw beatbox experience, well you’re talking over 25 years. Many students have asked “how can I continue learning” after a lesson or workshop, this is why the idea of School Of Beatbox emerged. Secondly, the lessons show you a lot more than single sounds.. we practice example beat patterns and there are additional tips and tricks like breathing techniques which you are sure to benefit from. Thirdly, you are invited to regular webinars where we take a closer look at some of the sounds and techniques and really help you to enhance your beatbox skills. Fourthly, you will receive the School Of Beatbox Handbook which contains a brief history of beatboxing, an introduction to writing your own beat patterns and a bit about my journey as a beatboxer as well as some handy tips. And fifthly, you will be automatically signed up to the Beatbox Blog (yes, this blog) which will have insights deep from the core of a beatboxers mind as well as the latest news from School Of Beatbox. You don’t want to miss that!
